Message from the Program Director

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the new medical physics program at the University of Tennessee (UT). We are excited to formalize our program that has had a rich history of producing board certified medical physicists over the past 20 years. The Nuclear Engineering department is well positioned to offer a comprehensive program with a diverse faculty. Students can obtain a MS in Medical Physics, or students who have already completed their PhD work can obtain a graduate certificate.

Our program will be unique in that our students will have significant clinical opportunities through class labs along with summer internships. UT has reached agreements with local health providers that will allow our students to gain hands on experience with the latest technologies. This will be advantageous for graduates when applying for clinical residency positions. Please take a look at our program and reach out with any questions.
