Chaple Gore Recognized as ‘One to Watch’

Ivis Chaple Gore, an assistant professor in the Department of Nuclear Engineering, has been recognized as a rising star in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging through the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging’s “Ones to Watch” program for 2025.

Launched in 2018, SNMMI’s “Ones to Watch” campaign aims to recognize those with the potential to shape the future of precision medicine across all spectrums of the field. Recipients are selected with the help of the SNMMI Future Leaders Working Group.

“SNMMI is so much more than a professional society where we attend for annual conferences. SNMMI provides learning opportunities, funding opportunities, and they advocate for our field in many ways,” Chaple Gore said. “Being identified as a rising star by SNMMI highlights my dedication and contributions to nuclear medicine and gives me hope that I will also be able to one day be a leader in the field that will advocate for continued funding, research, teaching, and the importance of our work.”

Chaple Gore is a radiochemist with experience in isotope production and radiochemistry for nuclear medicine and molecular imaging applications. Her research interests focus on developing novel radio-metal probes for use in Position Emission Tomography (PET) diagnostic imaging of disease states, and theragnostic approaches for treatment.

Chaple Gore’s lab at UT is focused on developing novel radiopharmaceuticals for diagnosis and treatment of various disease states, such as cancer.
