UT is part of a consortium that was awarded a $25M grant by the U.S. DOE’s National Nuclear Security Administration for R&D in nuclear science, engineering, and security.

Cordell Delzer, who earned his doctorate from UT in nuclear engineering and his masters in materials science, gained recognition for his doctoral thesis.

The department is part of the Nuclear Science and Security Consortium, an 11-member university consortium grant for research and development into nuclear science, engineering, and security.
